Engineering is an industry that builds both technically and commercially, year upon year. Without Engineering, many of the world’s processes would be inaccessible if not absent highlighting the prominence of the sector. Thus investing into Engineering is key in order to further develop industrialisation and digitisation globally – a factor the GTA, TEAM Engineering and Siemens PLM software have begun to develop and make real progress on.
TEAM Engineering, a Siemens PLM Software business partner, is a group of experienced engineers exclusively focused on NX and Teamcenter software covering design, simulation, manufacturing and data management. Founded in 1997, TEAM have been providing many engineering firms across the UK with such solutions ensuring innovation, advancement and development in 9 engineering industry sectors is continued. Siemens PLM, a leading global provider of PLM software, have played a major role in the provision of industry principal solutions to be used by many students as part of the new partnership which has been successfully running for a year now.
The partnership with the GTA will provide students with the range of software free of charge, courtesy of Siemens PLM Software, along with user training and support, provided by TEAM Engineering, to help students achieve best practice and full functionality. The union was introduced to ensure the next generation of engineers can be developed consistently through usage of these world leading tools and maintenance along the way.
The future of the partnership will involve regular knowledge share seminars to ensure each member is getting the most out of the software. Further along the line, TEAM Engineering and Siemens PLM software look to take part in further activities which support the development of our future engineers.
